We ended up getting a box of tomatoes from CvilleProduce that had 6 or 7 green tomatoes in the bottom so we decided to make a little kitchen treat for ourselves.
Green tomatoes – Sliced thin
Flower mixed with Salt and Pepper
Start by slicing the tomatoes and drying them off with a papertowel so the egg-wash will stick to them. In a small bowl beat the eggs with some cayenne pepper. Dip the tomato slices in the egg-wash and make sure they are completely covered. Carefully place them in the bowl with the seasoned flower and make sure that the entire tomato slice is coated. Fry the battered the slices in 350 degree oil until they float and are golden brown and crispy.
For the sauce compine srirach and mayo together 25/75 until well combined and use to dip the pieces of tomatoes in.
Be careful, the juices of the tomatoes will be super heated.
